Report from the Work Saturday at the Howell House - 12 May 2007
We had good attendance at our first work day of the year, installing covers over the windows and doors of the Howell house to prevent further vandalism as we prepare to work on the clearing the excess dirt from the back of the building. In addition to covering the windows, the window sashes were removed and inspected. In keeping with our program of research, photographs were taken to document the construction of the window frames and sashes. Our next work Saturday will be over the Memorial Day weekend on 28 May. Members and volunteers are most welcome. Bring tools, such as hammers, saws, and shovels. Don't forget to bring gloves and an appetite - as we will be eating out (literally) again. I want to thank everyone who came and worked.
